Speech Pathologist
Marty (Martin) Badway is a highly skilled licensed speech pathologist with a diverse academic background and extensive clinical experience.
Upon graduation, Marty spent 18 months working for a busy private practice in the South West of Sydney. He developed generalist skills in the assessment & therapeutic treatment of people with Autism from a culturally and linguistically diverse population across the lifespan and scope of practice, including:

Oral language, literacy & speech sound disorders;

Swallowing difficulties;

Voice disorders - general & peri-operative care;

Specialist gender voice services

Intelligibility training & pronunciation.
Standardised assessments are used to assess and plan for patient management. Access to standard assessments are paramount for NDIS report - writing and tracking. For example:

CELF-5 screener - ages 5 - 21 (oral language);

TIPS (information processing skills - working memory and long-term memory);

TASIT-S (social inferencing skills, e.g. sarcasm, lies, facial expressions);

MEC (Higher order language skills and social language communication); and

AUDACITY & PRAAT (voice analysis).
Marty is an employee of NSW Health. He completed his traineeship working across the Inpatient Acute wards (emergency, respiratory, neurology, & aged care depts) at St. George Hospital, Kogarah, for the assessment, diagnosis and management of people with swallowing disorders.
He has 2 years of knowledge and specialist skills in gender voice and communication, having worked in gender services as part of the multidisciplinary team at King Street Psychology Clinic.
Marty's speech pathology practice 'Sydney City Speech Pathology' is located at Sydney Specialist Rooms in Sydney CBD.
He is available for standardised speech pathology assessments for diagnostics and NDIS reporting.
